Aromatherapy is about studying the effect of aromatic essential oils for use as a complementary therapy to enhance massage treatments. Essential oils work by the ability to activate body responses through the sense of smell, the brain stores and interprets smells associated with our personal experiences. Deep within the limbic system (our deepest memory bank) aromas stimulate hormones and endorphins to activate physical, mental and spiritual responses which can help with stress related conditions, pleasant aromas can be sensual, relaxing and comforting.
