An introduction to deep tissue techniques is for students needing to work with firmer pressures without putting strain on themselves. Deep tissue is used to stimulate warmth in a body area and prepare clients for the release and breakdown of solid tissue mass which restricts movement and causes pain. These techniques are used as part of a remedial or sport activity treatment and prepares the body area for corrective treatment or can be used alone as a complete massage routine for clients needing deep pressure and tension release.
Benefits: gives the therapist a greater range of skills to work with, allowing them to develop firm pressure and reduce strain in the wrist and thumbs by working with forearms and elbows. Can offer additional service to client’s treatment range from £40 -50 for whole body
